Music

Foe Meader has been playing banjo and guitar since the days of the folk revival in the 1960s. Occasionally an original song pops out.

Kennebec River [mp3]
I was in Maine visiting my brother. His chapter of "Trout Unlimited," along with other environmental organizations, had been instrumental in getting the Edwards Dam on the Kennebec removed in 1999 restoring the ecology of the river. It seemed that a song was needed as new battles over old dams keep occurring.

Hogs to Houston [mp3]
A guy was looking for some trucking songs so I wrote a bunch. Most were eminently forgettable but a few have stood up through the years. People request this one a lot.

Coco, Coco [mp3]
Written for my granddaughter when she was one. All her favorite people are mentioned.

Poetry

Hey! There's a Stick
At a wedding reception I watched my nephew and a new friend throw rocks into the river, ignoring the festivities. I felt like joining them.

Hannah & Hannah
My niece and my grandniece, together one summer, inspired this poem.

Performances

ELATE production of Cotton Patch Gospel.

Film
